What Is Bloodlines: Fealty & Ruin?

Bloodlines: Fealty & Ruin is a persistent multiplayer web strategy game that puts you in the shoes of a ruler from a bygone age. When news took days to arrive. When soldiers, messengers and spies were your eyes and ears in the world. Experience what it meant to make imperfect decisions, with outdated information and no way of knowing what their consequences would be.

Welcome to Bloodlines: Fealty & Ruin. Welcome to the Renaissance.

How You Live and Rule in Bloodlines

01

Real Players.Real Fealty.

In a world of nobles, power is built on alliances, oaths and loyalties that can be broken at any moment. Your lord, your vassals and your rivals are real people, with ambitions of their own. You can swear fealty or betray your word, but remember: others can do the same.

02

An RTS at a Different Pace.

Move armies, fight battles, farm, spy, open mines or establish trade networks through direct actions, but at a measured pace. Your actions unfold over days, at the rhythm of a world that never stops. Conquering a city can take several days, and the consequences of your decisions take time to arrive. Experience strategy on the timescale of the rulers of the age.

03

Rule Without Knowing Everything.

Explore with your units and use spies, rumours and news to keep your war table up to date. When your units leave, you lose sight of what is happening, even in your own lands. Speak with other nobles to discover what your eyes cannot see and represent it on your model. But beware: they are real players with interests of their own, and they will not always tell you the truth.

04

One Day. One Turn.

Bloodlines is designed so you can compete by spending just 5–15 minutes a day. The game resolves one daily turn for every player: you review what happened, move your armies and manage your domains. Playing for longer will not give you an advantage. What makes the difference is your strategy and the relationships you build. You have a whole day to consider your next move: act with patience and intelligence.\n\nBut if you want to immerse yourself in its world, there will always be more to discover: explore, negotiate with other players, prepare strategies or learn its history through the chronicles. You can experience Bloodlines in a few minutes each day or linger over every detail of a persistent world.

05

A World Without End.

Bloodlines is a persistent, potentially immense world where hundreds of players can build and transform history. Kingdoms are born, grow, fragment and disappear. Borders shift, alliances break and new powers take the place of the old. There is no final victory and no end to the game. The world continues, generation after generation, writing a history that no one can fully control.

06

Your Lineage Is Your Story.

In Bloodlines, you do not rule a single character, but an entire lineage. Your rulers grow old, die and leave their legacy to their heirs. Build a dynasty, take part in wars, forge alliances and leave your mark on the world. The chronicles will preserve your family’s events, achievements and failures, even if your lineage eventually disappears. Let history remember the name of your lineage.

07

Bloodlines, Wherever You Are.

Play directly in your browser, with no downloads or installations. Access your lineage from your computer, phone or tablet, wherever you are. Read the news from your realm, issue orders, negotiate with other players or command your armies with the full range of the game’s possibilities, regardless of the device you use. Your world will always be just one click away.
